Just a query for the brethren Down South. The wife and I run a Bed and Breakfast in Point Lonsdale and as a bit of a celebration to mark the end of the silly season we're loading the family truckster and heading for Port Fairy this weekend. Was down there just pre Christmas and scored a bit of a macking swell so was able to paddlesurf out in front of the surf club and down the beach a bit at a place called "**** tip". Early morning was pretty much empty. Weather looks good for this coming weekend although swell looks to be small. Wondering what the best option would be in the near vicinity. We used to haunt Port Fairy years ago pre kids and have surfed most of the A waves around town, Lighthouse, The Passage and Oigles. But, and its a big but, the local vibe back then was particularly frosty towards outsiders let alone outsiders on SUPs. Just looking for somewhere to have a splash without stepping on anyones toes. Any input gratefully accepted.
