Off that last post...
Just noticed it's $50 per division to enter - $100 for SUP heat + BOP. LOL
Is this how SWA/SUPWA think they can grow the sport?
Maybe I'll throw in the swag and tag along for a gander only.
No interest at these prices.

Without passing the buck, I can tell you that SUP WA has no say in the pricing or get any kickback from these events. Yes we help organise them on the ground but that is about the extent of our involvement.

I can tell you that they are fantastically organised and run by a very professional outfit. Plus a very good way to spend the weekend.

Thanks for starting the thread Stimmo, you really are on the ball, The BOP race will be around a proper m shaped course, the location will determine the length of course. Denmark is an awesome location for SUP and this is always a great comp. SWA will be holding a judging course for the SUP surfing on the Friday night in Denmark, any interested people please PM me for details. We really need some help in the judging as this has been left up to the Longboarders and it is now time for us to be self sufficient. We will need at least 8 to 10 people. There will be no cost. I look forward to seeing everyone down at Denmark.

Appreciate the feedback and understand these events cost money to run.
Would like to get involved in these rounds in the future...
Sounds like a great event...
Definitely will try (work/weather dependent) to get there to see how the event goes down and hopefully catch a wave wipe out or two on the side.

Thanks Stimmo

Will keep everyone keen on the Judging course up to date with time and location, more than likely at the Surf Club at Ocean Beach. We are heading down Thursday aswell, keep in touch.

Hey Buccaneer, know what you're saying about the entry fees, but can guarantee that it is worth every cent !! Not only do you get to surf classic waves with only a few others out, but as Stimo said there's plenty of goodies too. The event organisation has to be seen to be believed as well - a very slick operation.

I'm sort of bummed that the Stix clan can't make this one, but my wife has booked ocean front accommodation about 1700k's North of Denmark. I think there's some reasonable surf up there too. Hope you all get some great waves, and I probably won't be thinking of you.

Unfortunately I can't make it either as I will be another 30km up the coast from ChickenStix, surfing in boardies and living on crays and spangldies

Yes Tightlines, I will have to forfeit this one ( as much as it pains me to say it) you can chalk this one up. Must feel a bit hollow though, your first win is by forfeit.

Got a few days off around that time, seriously miss the Rotto dawn service but reckon the point one could be on the cards.

I reckon the diggers would fully approve.

Rog I would be keen to get involved in the judging but have to work Friday so won't be leaving town until around 5, meaning I won't get down there until about 9:30.

Anyone else doing a solo mission for this weekend?
