Looks good for a down-winder this morning, I'll be at Jetty Road at 10am if anyone is keen. I've got my new Starboard 12'6 Pin to try out!!!

It was good.

I was on my 14' Glide.. Pete was on his 14' Glide.. Alan was on the SHQ 12' Glide and Jonathan was on the new 12'6" Starboard Pin.

We had 30-35 knots and some great runners.. The 14' Glides were the fastest by heaps in these conditions.. The Pin and 14' Glide are very different boards.

The Starboard pin felt a bit wobbly at first.. and I don't think it's as stable as the 12' Glide because of the rounded front section of the board and the very piny tail.

It feels a little faster than the 12' Glide when not planing but it doesn't get on the plane quite as easy as the 12' Glide.

I swapped with Jonathan and got some good runners on the Pin so it can be used as a down-winder as long as it's not too rough.

Next time we do it I'll use my 12' Glide and it will be interesting to see how they compare.

The Pin is a very nice board but felt tiny compared to my 14' Glide.
