Very nice video, though I remember it being much hotter. And thanks for not including any shots of me catapulting over the front of my board.

I forgot to say big thanks to Matt Lumley for loaning us his 12ft glide for the afternoon and the swapping paddles half way to make life easier.

It was a great way to spend and afternoon!

And an even better learning experience

Great video DJ, love the applause Phil gets for coming through the Gates Of Hell.

Not quite sure how you manage to pull off great video like that and do the paddle with us - well done.

Our biggest "social" down-winder yet and wonderful mellow conditions for it - at this rate it's going to get crowded out there!

Thanks Phill.. When you go through the 'Gates of Hell' and it's blowing about 40 knots it feels like 80 knots as the wind funnels though the 'gates'..

It's great to get more along on these down-winders.. It's like having a ski slope at our doorstep and there's no need to buy a lift ticket..

Wahoo! Great work DJ. You definitely did a great job of putting that together.

A huge thanks also to DJ for organising all the boards and bringing it all together on the day.

DJ also picked up my board for the RPS race and collected and dropped me off all wind blown after the down wind paddle. So a BIG thanks DJ.. I look forward to many more down wind sessions without the lift pass.
