Does it strike anyone else as odd that he didn't even attempt to run after it? Or that he kept rolling and managed to keep the board in the middle of the frame? Just casually stroll down to the water after it.
This is another good reason why you should never do a downwinder without a legrope. If this happens to you at sea (and it will) you will be stuck out there without a board.
