Yes the race is confirmed for Saturday 28th January.
Its called "12 Towers Ocean SUP Race" from Kirra Point to Burleigh Point. (or depending on wind and ocean conditions) Approx 14kms. $6000 worth of Prizes and Prize Money. $35 entry fee
SUPSA is hosting the race.

Yeah Ali Cat, this "12 Towers Ocean SUP Race" is the first SUPSA event of the year in which will be followed by a 3 race Flat Water Series, another Distance but Handicapped Race and a major BOP Style Event towards the back end of the year.
So pretty exciting times for SUP on the Gold Coast, not to mention some events that Swanie and the Sunny Coast Crew are organising and a heap of SUPSASUP Surfing events too!
And with the Eastern Sea Board of Oz housing around 6-7 of some of the World's Best Paddlers and up to 15 World Class Paddlers, the time is now that we cement ourselves as a true paddling nation!
