Woohoo! looked sensational. DJ that camera angle is about the best yet for capturing the swell size...but does having the mount up forward on the nose make the board a bit unwieldy?

On the rivet there, fantastic stuff, extreme downwinding!

At least you don't have to worry about the board hitting the bottom when you pearl !

Great use of the paddle for propping/checking, also an example of what you mentioned the other day about nose-steer.

Thanks Stu.. and everyone elso for your nice coments.. I've tried to avoid the front mount pointed back for a few reasons like it does effect the board handling even more than the big rear mount.. The camera lens gets splatered with more rain drops and water spray.. I've never wanted my vids to be like... me,me, look at me.. but rather a come along and enjoy the experiance along with helping those who are new to downwinding.. I'm not saying I'm a DW expert but I'm happy to pass on the things that seem to work well for me.. As it turns out this front mount shows how important foot work and paddle work are.. along with showing the wave size much better.. I don't post my vids with the expectation of getting praise or coments but when I do it's a real bonus.. Getting praise from people like Phil [Downwinder] means alot to me because they know how difficult it is to capture the DW experiance on film.. Someone said that I make it look easy.. For those who have done DW'ers will know that they are a lot of things.. and easy is not one of them.. I'm thinking it's more my editing than my skill that makes it look easy.. I do know that downwinders are one thing.. and that's FUN..

DJ That front mount you did gives awesome footage of the swell behind you and the foot work its a buzz looking a the foot work it looks great ( how can I say it - Only A Surfer Knows The Feeling )

I've never wanted my vids to be like... me,me, look at me.. but rather a come along and enjoy the experiance along
DJ we Downwind Paddlers truly understand what you're saying

Getting praise or coments but when I do it's a real bonus.. Getting praise from people like Phil [Downwinder] means alot to me
DJ thanks for the comment mate, but I'm like you DJ I truly love Downwind Paddling it is the best sport outside of surfing a real wave on my normal surfboard thats why I love Maliko so much.

I don't post my vids with the expectation of gbecause they know how difficult it is to capture the DW experiance on film.
So true.

For those who have done DW'ers will know that they are a lot of things.. and easy is not one of them
I said the same comment to Jeremy Riggs and Jeremy agrees.

I hope I get to Port Phillip Bay some day it'll be a real joy/buzz to go for a DW paddle with ya DJ, hope to see ya on Maliko next July.

DJ I'm sure I'm not the only one, but a little while ago I stumbled across seabreeze, checked out the sup forum only to see your videos of these epic downwinders in my own backyard...port Phillip bay. From that point I was hooked. Got myself a board and aspire to experience for myself the thrill of the glide that you depict so well in your vids. I've got a hell of long way to go, a lot to learn but having a ball along the way...just need more of these northerlies on the weekends. Cheers for the inspiration, entertainment, welcoming encouragement and patience to those of us starting out...

Already looking forward to another possible vid from tomorrow's paddle.
