has anyone applied the EZ plug handle to there board and is it secure, comfortable etc.

Mick the latest ones with Superglue are secure.

The old ones with sticky foams pads are not.
Way better grip than a well (especially if it is windy and carrying long distances) and they dont seem to get under your feet like you think it would.

I have seen one sup hit the ground after an aftermarket stick on handle failed ! Spend the dollars and get a shaper/ding repairer put a recessed handle in for you. It is safer, more comfortable and makes for better re-sale value. Having a handle put in a board costs approx' $90 on the Goldy so it should be comparable elsewhere.

Hey Mick,
We have put a couple of ezy plug handles on now and been very happy with them. Way stronger than they look (the good old 11'6" southpoint is pretty heavy and no sign of failure!!!). And they only cost about $40. Also have one on a 12' race board.

Totally agree with AA about them not getting in the way and actually being easier to use than the recessed handle.

I agree, the new ones stay stuck, I have had no problems with mine and my board is BIIIIG and heavy, and I carry it a long way. I prefer the 'soft handle' model, it's nice and chushy!
I don't think a recessed handle would be as good, with one of these handles you get a much better grip to control the board, especially when it's a bit windy and wild.

I have the older ones with sticky pads, as did my brother ( DTM). Both of us had ours fail! But I've since stuck mine back on with superglue which has worked ok, so if they now come new with superglue as AA says then should be good.

The thing with these handles in the comfort factor. Recessed handles put all the wieght of the board basically on just your fingers, whereas the EZ handles distribute the weight better across the palm.
