Anyone tried these fins on a short SUP?
Would like to hear what fin setup people are using on their boards.

?!?! thats sounds wild!!! I have just received my 9'3'' Hokua and I am 'frothing' !!! cannot wait to try it..looks insane. My mate has the 9'6'' Quad and I am forever playing with fins on my standard surf boards..cannot wait to run a few different fin set ups on the SUP..all we need now is for the Easterly Winds to shift and for some swell to arrive!!
keep me posted on your findings as I will do also.
cheers

I used H2 Large as front fins with a 6" hand foiled rear for years on a PU. I found the added cant really helped the board to stay on rail and allowed it to bury through turns etc. I have a mountain of fins in my garage and tried everything suitable I could find. I was convinced that this was the ultimate set up for me.
However when switching to EPS I found the rails do not bury as well and I needed more surface area to help the board to hold the rail in the water rather than 'popping out'. After testing 6 or 7 different set ups I am now using MRTFX in the sides and my faithful hand foiled rear fin. For this board it feels right.
Moral of the story: There is no single perfect set of fins for any surfer or board. You need to test them all out for every board you own to dial in the best feeling for you. What works for your mate on the same board even may not be the best for you. You will probably prefer a different set for each board you own. All good 'surfing' shops have a test drive center, use it, experiment and reach your own potential whatever that may be.
