Decided I want to go to a smaller paddle from my 100sq QB and want to try something else like the fanatic 7.25 90sq either ineggra or full carbon but can't seem to locate one.
Based in NSW but don't have a local shop so happy to buy online/over the phone.
Anyone know any store anywhere with any current stock? Couple places I spoke to don't actually know when next shipment arrives. Any info be great!

They must be good if no one in the country has any stock left from the initial shipment.

Sorry, not sure who has stock - I was going to try the Roar shop at Currumbin as I know they did have some not too long ago (no affiliation). I would be interested to know your thoughts on the difference if you get your hands on one. I am considering the change from the same paddle you have now, to the one you are looking at changing to.

Had the same paddle as you guys and the difference is huge , im able to paddle harder for much longer without the fatigue the big 100 gave me. Trust me you will love it. And your shoulders will thank you too.

My guess is they are sold out pretty much Aus wide, we have more coming pretty soon as i was told they are getting airfreighted in and should be leaving today!! we will have ALOT of these paddles when they turn up!!

Well worth the wait as these have been one of the most poplar paddles i have ever sold and the feed back has been amazing!!!

If you want to put your name on one let me know and i can send one straight to you as soon as it arrives.

Jacko (Roar Industries)

Thanks Jacko, So im guessing air freight means in the store late next week?? I certainly can wait another week.
I will call through to the store in coming days.

Thanks for the replies all.

now to decide if the full carbon stiffer option is the way to go..

Great paddles. They have taken our gold coast area by storm. My preference is the eneggra version. Other paddles feel like crow bars now. PS disc no ties with fanatic

Keen to try these out too. Heard very good things. I'm interested to see how differently they flex and what having the longer narrower blade means for paddle length etc.
I imagine it would mean that the line of your stroke would be closer to the board so that's a positive.
Lots of good new stuff about to play with this year!!!

Im pretty sure ocean addicts have some in stock in both carbon and innegra.

I have the innegra and love it for surfing. If you were going to use it for racing I would go the carbon, the innegra has alot of flex. There was a photo from our last club day surf comp and I got lots of remarks like....whats that bow you were using, were you about to launch yourself... haha. but I love it in the surf. suits me fine.

Tried out one of the 7.25" pro carbons today. 1st impressions are good. Big solid catch for a smaller blade. Lovely clean entry, solid powerful pull, clean exit.
I like it.
Because I cut my shafts so short I loose a lot of the flex so it makes it harder over longer distance. I imagine for someone with a longer shaft it would be just perfect.
I think this will be my new short distance paddle. :)
Cheers to Quinny, Pete and Sam at WSS for making it all work. :)

Just wondering if anyone has any comparisons between the 7.25" and the 8" Fanatic innegra paddle? I bought a 7.25" and at the time, the guy who sold it to me said that based on my size (6 foot and 90kg) I could probably go for either. I went with the smaller one as that seemed to be the trend amongst racers at the time and found it greatly reduced the pain in my shoulders and lower back after a long/hard paddle. However, I often wonder if the larger blade would mean more speed, or if the difference would be too small to notice. My times are definitely quicker with this paddle over distances of over 5km, compared to my old QB which had a bigger blade and stiffer shaft and I believe this is because there is less wear on the body. Considering buying one of the 8" blade paddles but hoping someone has some experience with them before I fork out another few hundred shekels to find out the hard way.

The 7.25 is the way to go. You can keep the cadence up for much longer without getting fatigued. I was using another well known brand of paddle and looked at a number of different brands and sizes before getting the 7.25. If you were doing sprint work you might consider the 8 but I would stick with the 7.25. Always best to demo if possible as what works for others might not work for you.
