Looking at purchasing one of these two boards. At 108 kgs these two boards fit well. Have demoed the 9'6 jp and was quite impressed with overall performance but haven't been able to demo the fanatic pro.
Anyone had the chance to surf both?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have had a 9'6 pro wave for almost a year and its like brand new, the HRS seems to be quite tough. I have used it lots and only wear and tear has been on the standing area. I find that its my goto board and tend to use it most of the time. I have an 8'10 Exocet Fish but that more of a perfect day sort of board. I was out to today in variable conditions and caught my fair share of waves and the board is very nice to ride. It nice and stable and thats good for getting out. The ProWave is a big bigger than the JP volume wise and its a bit wider 31.5 cf 30 but that is just looking at the stats online, I have never used one. I am 99 kgs. I always liked the look of the JP boards but they cost more than the fanatics here in NZ and I could get one locally so went for the ProWave.

Hey azza....

I just posted a video review of the 9'6 Prowave HRS in the "Reviews"
www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Stand-Up-Paddle/Review/2014-Fanatic-Prowave-HRS-96-Video-Review/

Can't speak to the JP 9'6, as I have never seen one, but it is definitely a board I would love to surf. Tough decision. Get both
