I bumped into Adam from Windgenuity the other day and he had an interesting new SUP board on the roof of his van.

It was the new Fanatic 12'6" carbon flat water race board.

He stopped in at RPS to show them the board so I popped in and took some pics.

It's an interesting shape and should be a very quick (and stable) race board.

I'm hearing it's going to be very competitively priced for a full carbon pop out race board. I'd expect to see a few around this summer.

I think I have written a review on the Fly Race in the gear review section, but just quickly she is a beautiful board. It is a lot faster than I thought it would be for it's width (a lot!). And by far the nicest race board I have paddled into chop and messy water. Very smooth and great stability, even handles a wave ok. Definitely worth a Demo if you get the chance. Looking forward to receiving mine tomorrow hopefully!!!!

Board comes in two awesome constructions. Glass wood and Full Carbon. Last I spoke with Quinny prices were $1899 for glass wood & $2399 for Carbon, but check in with your local dealer to confirm as at those prices, it may have been a dream.

p.s. DJ, Adam is no longer with Windgenuity!

Scored a paddle of it when Adam was in Torquay visiting Core board sports.

Went for a quick blast and it felt great. Not too tippy which is good for me on the open ocean. And couldn't help myself and catch a few waves. Thought it would potentially be a nightmare to control but was actually pretty turnable ( for a 12'6").
I've ordered one
