The next Fenn Cup from Palm Beach to Long Reef is on this Saturday. So far with a forecast of 15-20knots and a NE swell a bit over a 1m due it should be a great run.
For those that don't have the gear for the job I have 4 boards over 12ft in the shop that I'd prefer to see paddled rather than sit around. They are a Naish Glide 12', DC 12'6", Starboard 12'6" Pin, and the sleeper of the bunch a Starboard 12'2".
If you're keen just let me know and it's yours for the day. First in first served just bring your own paddle.
Oh phew... I scared myself for a minute there - I just looked on the map and thought I'd bitten off more than I could chew. Thanks Matty.
I was just joking dude... haha.. the board is all yours unless someone pm'd or called Sam.... i was actually thinking of paddling out at narrabeen and following the fleet on the last leg... haha... not fit enough to paddle the whole thing... haha...
Hey Sam, can you race the downwind event on a 12 footer or is it limited to the 14' + boards?
Cheers John
Hey John,
Just got off the phone with Dean Gardiner and board limits apply to the shorter race only in that you can't go over 12'6". In the long race the 12 footers are OK just may take a bit longer.
Thanks for the offer Sam but just found out the misses is getting the 5 hour bloody haircut Sat arvo so it's a no go[}:)] I probably woulda needed rescueing anyways
Did anyone do the Fenn race today? I saw a couple of guys with prone boards. My brother and I did the shorter and earlier Skoda race on SUP but there was only 2 of us headwind was pretty bad wind has a lot of east in it so trip to Longy would be a something of a cross/ down winder cheers
Great effort Pete and to the 4 other guys conditions were not easy Cheers
yeah tough going alot of right side paddling.well done to all the other guys finishing.I think the hardest part was running after casso's car with my keys.
