Just wondering if some of the crew familiar with the areas around Tavarua and Namotu might be able to offer some advice.
I am lucky enough to be heading over to 'Musket cove' next week for a family holiday with a little surfing thrown in-short board not SUP .
I surfed Wilkes a few years back before it was opened up -solid when we were there, well overhead and would have been a little too much for my 14 yr old son to manage.
Magic seaweed is predicting cloudbreak to be in the 6-14 ft range!!

My question is :
What sort of size would you expect swimming pools and Tav rights to be in respect to Cloudbreak(if it is 10 ft for eg)-I know they are more protected from the swells generally
Are they likey to be half the size for eg??
I know that Namotu and restaurants are also smaller but perhaps someone can chime in?

Also I think that Musket now has a couple of SUPs for the bay which might get a lot of use

Thanks for any help?

Hi I surfed pools a couple of years ago and it was head n half, Cloudbreak was in the 8 - 10ft range according to the locals and a couple of our crew that surfed it that day. Swimming pools is an amazing wave and deffo sticks in the memory, have fun 🏄👍

Downwinder's the man - he knows it all about Namotu, etc.
Last seen consuming too much yoghurt in between Maliko runs and posting cock fighting videos on youtube (which get deleted by the mods).
