Picked up my mates 9-6 from the ding shop for him on Friday before I met him for a surf. It was only 1 to 2 foot with a light light offshore breeze so he took out his 10-6 and went out on the 9-6 finless for some fun.

This is by far the hardest thing I have tried on a sup , at first I could barely stand on it because when you would correct your balance the board would twist and with every stroke the board just wanted to do a 180 . After fumbling around for 10 mins I finally managed to get a wave , amazingly it still held a nice line on the wave by keeping pressure on the rails , I managed a couple of 180's but couldn't quiet pull off a 360.

After 30 mins I was rooted and had to get off it and get back on my board. I was so sore afterwards and then released what a great training tool this was for improving your balance and learning to use your rails and not rely so heavily on your fins.

Try it you'll be surprised with the results

I saw the same board in greenline last week and I said to Scott that would be a great board for my kids , he then told me you bought one so how does it go ? I know it's 5" thick but mate it must be tough.

i put in some plugs to make it a quad, i just felt to would go better.it is hard, but it's doable.it's a bit of a course ride, but it is just about impossible to nose dive and being built so strong. i've had some fun on ugly beachies.i've had my time on it and have it for sale, but it no big deal
cheers
