G'day all, just letting eveyone know the first SUPSA event for 2010 is next Sunday, the 14th February 2010 at Palm Beach Parklands. Local manufacturers will be on hand with a few boards, free BBQ, Free Surf if the swell is on, kids novelty paddle race.
SUPSA will be holding the family fun days every second month this year, with the alternate months being comp months.
The surf events will be totally mobile to ensure we get the best conditions. We will also be running downwinders throughout the year. These events will accumulate points to see who the overall club champion is come December. Family days will also see fun / novelty events run which will also accumulate points for all members.
BTW, 2010 memberships are now due!!! Will have heaps of membership renewal forms on hand next weekend. On the point of fees, despite the global financial crisis and my need for more overseas travel this year, we have elected to keep the prices at $100 for a family and $50 for an individual.
It would be good for all of those new downwind enthusiasts to sign up and support the SUPSA events. Many of us "downwinders" will be there and there should also be a lot of demo and second hand gear floating around.
Some of the Sunshine coast and NSW crew attend the events, too, which is great. Come down and meet everyone face to face.
Chris, can you please let us know who all of the 2010 committee members are (as well as their pseudonyms)?
