Good question.. Most of the time I'm not stepping back and I'm enjoying the pearling..
In these light conditions stepping back tends to kill the glide.
I used my big rear camera mount on todays downwinder so when I post that vid you should be able to see what I do with my feet.
I'd be interested to hear what others do.
