Good work mate.
Keep a surfboard for 'those' days. Some days sup just won't cut it.
Paddle out via rips and stay out of the wave zone if at all possible on the way back out and until your experienced at sup (regardless of how good a knowledge you have as a surfer), stay away from the main breaks and watch as many sup'rs as you can.
I prone paddle out often with my paddle tucked under my chest. Way quicker and a great energy saver.
