BOARD STOLEN from inside my House!!!!!

On returning from a paddle I notice the back door of my home wide open and a board taken from the wall. The board is brand new never been used so has no wax or deck grip on it. Other things where taken but this was the big one.

Happened in Noosaville, between 7 - 8 this morning (6th May)

Reward Offer to the person or people who help get this board returned.

If you see this board please contact the police.

The board is a Laguna Bay very distinctive Spray see photos

It was actually at Chris's Place - I am just putting the word out there as he is computer illiterate - He had left for a lesson in the morning and came back to notice the back doors open. No forced entry but you would have to know his movements to know how to get in.

He is working with the Police in what has been taken - I think a couple of paddles, sunglasses, the sling it was hanging in, leg rope, deck grip.

Kinda makes you want to lock everything up again - might invest in some SPF? (ties) to secure the board on the roof of the car.

My first post to this forum. Woogie, sorry to read about this. I agree with Piros, what sort of knucklehead would steal a board with a spray like that - I think the odds are with you getting it back - hopefully undamaged and hopefully with culprit identified. Like most dopey thieves, he probably doesn't have any idea that word travels fast, particularly in online forums. On a more trivial note, where can I buy some of those slings in the photo? I could do with a couple of those. Thanks & good luck.

Good news the board has been located and Chris is once again a happy man(altho all agree the theif needs a floggin)..... It was sold on the Gold Coast to a innocent person this afternoon and the theif has long left, but hopefully with the information the police now have, justice will prevail.

Wow how fast is that. Was it picked up from info on the forum. You would think the theif would have to know something about Chris's set up and movements. Hope they catch the fool or at least he / she suffer bad karma. [}:)]

As for the sling they are great as is the quiver kaddy. They can both be sourced through Chris at:

supnoosa.net.au/

He is a good bloke and will look after you with price.

Cheers

The Guy is about 6'2 50+ in age Grey Hair he has noticeable marks on his face my be birth marks -

Goes by the Name of Ivan or Peter using a fake phone number -

This guy may live in Coffs - so watch out Broad Bumps

Once again thanks to all those who helped out - the Police will hopefully catch this guy before he does it again to someone.

I knew you were talking about chris's place and was going to ask if he thought might be someone he knows or seen around the place.
Someone has cased the place apparently known when he's doing lessons etc.
But your right mate, I've been here more than 20 years, and some of the wrong people are here now.
will put the word out

Wow I recognised the photo as soon as I saw it. Chris taught me how to SUP and I bought my first board off him so I'm glad you guys recovered your property.

Good luck catching the PoS that stole it. He doesnt sound the smartest crook. Any other board but the CUSTOM FLOURO ORANGE PAINT JOB and you may not have found it LoL.

Look, I know this probably does not need to be said, but if you see somebody out on it, he is probably not the guy who lifted it. It would suck to get beat down for innocently riding your newly purchased used board...
As others have mentioned - that board will be seen!

The guy first brought the board into Greenline and Macca wasn't there so he went down the road to the next surf shop and sold it to them for $500 he said he won it in a raffle , that shop then brought it back to Macca at Greenline and asked if he would trade it on one of his boards , Macca put 2 & 2 together and realised it was Chris's board and made the call.

So props to the Seabreeze community we got one back.

Feel sorry for the Surf Shop that is out of pocket for $500. Business is tough on all fronts and they are the innocent yet also stung party. Here's hoping some of the stimulus goes their way.

When stuff like this happens its a good time to decide if your gear is locked away the best it can be.
A big dog in the backyard is also a good deterrent.
Apparently crooks hate stepping in dog****.
