On the last day of the Mambo Craig (Boylos) and I went for a flat water paddle and he use the PSH 12' gun.. I was in my Naish 10' Mana.

We stopped off at the Bar Beach Cafe and we swapped boards so Craig could try my Mana.

We also caught up with friends of mine from Vic that I've paddled with at St Kilda.. Mike and Natalie.

Mike and Nat paddle a 11'6" and 11'4" Naish boards and drive a Naish yellow van..

Mike has been making his own paddles and had one of his latest designs there for me to try.. I call it the 'Flying V' paddle because it reminds me of the flying V guitars.. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gibson_Flying_V ..

Mikes first paddles used a bamboo shaft and a wide blade.. He now uses a carbon shaft and a narrow blade.. They feel very nice to paddle with and I'll have one at Elwood on Sunday if anyone wants to try one.

We all swapped board and three of us had flying V paddles.. .. Here's some pics that I took along the way.

Thanks and naar.. I'm not much of a coffee drinker.. If it was coke I have a go..

Mike has a patent on his design so he's taking it all pretty serious.. The blade is made in a CNC machine.
