So I'm new to SUPing and bought an adjustable paddle because I wasn't sure of the length I'd need for a fixed type. Figured it was the wise thing to do and I can experiment with shaft lengths :) I've noticed some paddles have a foam insert in the t-bar section to stop water getting in. Where can I buy a foam insert?

Foam insert?
Can't be too hard to cut a bit of pool noodle and shove it in?
Or a bit of pretty much anything with a bit of Silastic...?
Or the really technical solution - windsurf booms have similar stuff in them, the billions of broken booms at windsurf shops may be a start?
voila! - water excluded.
But - I am a useless kook and my paddle has been dropped in the water about 3 times in 2hrs learning.
Is it really an issue....?
