I think that the first brand to come out with the idea was Gongsup couple of years ago ;
They now have footstraps boards available in production in his 2008 range ; the guys use them either with 1 or 2 straps

..and it also looks like only the front foot is in a footstrap (I may be wrong)..That's asking for serious twistage in a fall..
