Looks like a good invention.

Can't wait to see someone paddle out with one at the Pines.

I feel cheated and robbed DJ ! But thanks for posting.

Time to surf now. Reasonably solid down here today.... Just letting the frothers get their fill of waves for the first shift, before moving in for shift 2 & 3 of the day.

A little present for the rest of you.... so you don't feel too robbed! (by the title )

If anyone can give a new product to do with big wave surfing validity, it's Shane Dorian.

Nope, they aren't in the catalogues yet. I haven't seen next summers though.

Really good idea, you would want to wait as late as possible to deploy it if you
didn't have a spare canister. Comes down to how much you value your life and
the seriousness of the wipeout I guess.

I had a really bad wipeout when I came into contact with my board and thought
I had broken ribs etc. Couldn't really use the left side of my body for about 20
minutes. Had to hang onto my board to stay afloat while getting worked but this
idea would have been a big help so I could distance myself from the board.
But if you had one of these I can't imagine you would paddle out with it on
in 4ft+ beachies.

You could also wear it to fancy dress parties as the Hunchback of Notre Dame..
