Hard to explain but if you have nothing to do ava look at the gsi site

Verry hard to get ya head round.

I.E Uber fish and mact

to be honest with you I reckon volume and dimension measurements mean absolutely nothing. Look for a board that has the right amount of float and stability for you and has the appropriate plan shape for the type of surfing you want to do. It really is as simple as that. I am no expert but I wouldn't have the faintest idea what dimensions my sups/mals/shortys are or what the bottom shapes are - I have pretty much always just used the old T.F.A.R method of determining what works for me in a board. (That Feels About Right)
Overly simplistic ? yeah probably, but it's not meant to be rocket science or hard work.

Once again, this is great for oz as you have demo board comming out the windows

Here you have to hand over $2000 ++ and if it aint right your stuffed

The question realy is why is gsi all over the place like a old womans ****.

Not about what board.

bit bored, so i mocked up 2 boards with the same 3 dimensions(length, width and thickness)> basically the same outline and bottom contours, but completly different "litres"
top one - 156.8 lt
bottom one - 135.93

i call them the 'Mc Deths'

nice work thx. the first one, i would probably pull the tail in a bit and gain some more thickness to keep litres. number 2 is a beauty, again, touch thicker. my feelings after the 7 2 sb is to keep some litres to compensate for the lenght no 3- you devil
also, i would take about dropping the back rocker a bit so i could catch waves
all in all well done

Cool thank you, but the two boards we are discussing are different shapes but with similar volume. Not same shape different volume.....but that is not really an issue due to your informative post.

The issue is how can one board be for 90 kgs and the other 110kgs...but only 1 litre difference??

However thank you I have learnt something about volume measurements and how two same sized boards can be very different in volume.

We're not for everyone, just those that are struggling to get their board to the beach. If you're having trouble then give us a look.
