Hope this helps avoid an injury, that front deck section of most sups the bit that is never treated for traction, well i remember going there on a demo board and slipped resulting in a shoulder injury i now have daily reminders. Never wanted to wax that section , found a product at Bunnings called Tread Rite its a grip treatment for steps etc, ignore everything the description says about saltwater I taped up the deck around the top outline and papered off everything else, used a green pot scourer to lightly dull the deck wiped it over, sprayed on about 3 coats at the usual intervals, might look a bit uneven while drying but when its dry its almost invisable best of all the fine texture is non abraisive this has now been on my board for over 3 yrs and not changed. Now the best part it costs about $13 and enough to do about 5 boards. Cheers.
