Make sure the deck pad is dry then go to your local Mitre 10 and Buy a tube of a product called soudal.
It sticks anything to anything.

I v used plain silicon for mine and has worked well .

good luck

Just read DJ's link and I would like to add that prepreation is a big factor in keeping things neat and in order. With a small lift like that one run masking tape around the edge of the grip so no goo gets on your board where you dont want it,even tape newspaper to the origional layer of tape to protect the whole rail and carpet if you do it at home. Then use a paddle pop stick to get the goo right in where you want it, then after about 5-10 min's press and hold for a while, maybe get a brick and rest it in a way that the weight presses on the right spot.I've done this for years on short boards, longboards and whatever.I was first introduced to it whilst fixing dings and sanding in factories many moons ago(its what they use to stick the sanding discs to the pads with)I've also seen it used in pannel shops for bonding sheet metal.I guess what i'm trying to say is a lot of tradies from several different industries use it for various different purpouses because its good if you know how to use it.Sorry for babbling but I think I got my point across.

Anyone got any tips for a bubbling deck grip? The guy I bought my 2nd hand board from suggested putting a pin-prick hole to let the air out; however I am not sure how to re-stick it and seal it. Any tips would be appreciated.

Any quality contact adhesive/contact cement should do the job - make sure you tape up around it first. As for bubbling grip, I would normally say use a bit of heat as contact adhesive will generally soften & re-stick, but this could cause delam, so make a small hole & get hold of a syringe (needle not needed), squirt some 'spray' contact adhesive into the hole & work around the area. Most kitchen joinery shops will have a 20-200lt drum of it - laminate adhesive.

Had a couple of small edge lifts like this on one of my boards, from dragging it across my roof bars. I had the hot glue gun out for another job one day and while it was on ran a bead of the stuff under the pad and pressed it out. Sets quick, cleanup of a little bit of excess was easy and it's still holding after more than a year.
