Just wondering the best way to purchase the new GoPro HD camera.
I pre ordered the motorsport one (just cause it comes with heaps more mounts rather than the surf one with 1 big round white ugly one) in Australia for AUD $439 but On the GoPro website in the US you can get It delivered to Australia for AUD $365??
I guess my question is, will they lower the Australian retail price now the exchange rate is good or am I better to buy from the US?

I preordered the HD Helmet Hero. Just a trick to save a bit of money. Order whatever, and then fill in all the details except the credit card details. Then navigate away from the website effectively cancelling the order. They will then send you an email (was within 30minutes for me) offering you 10% off if you go back and order the product within 24hrs.

I got the HD Helmet Hero (same price as HD Motorsport Hero) for US$295 delivered to my door. Aussie dollar is over US$0.90 now so if it shipped right now it would be about AUD325. Hopefully the dollar is even stronger when the cam ships in 2 weeks, eitherway, its an awesome deal.

Can't wait for it to arrive, its gonna be awesome, probably grab a 16gig SD card when it arrives.

As far as them lowering the retail in aus... I doubt it will happen. Thats business for you, when the dollar is weak, prices go up... when the dollar is strong again... then they will say they bought the product when the $$$ was weak, and keep prices up.

i think it ends up $269.99 (after 10%) + $49.99 Fedex shipping in US dollars . . . for delivery to NQ

so about $320 US . . . maybe $360 ozzy . . .

just need to go pick up a SD card, and some editing software. Saw a pretty good deal for a 16GB patriot class6 sd card, $49, so will probably get that.

I got a 32GBHC card for AUD$29 off ebay!
