Hi Guys
man deems has gone off on the edit of that little sucker while I've been away on the road.....
ive just got home and got to watch it on my big screen
i cannot confirm or deny that i was wearing pants at the time

....hahahaha
"Hats off" to the legend for smashing it together for me........yay!!!!!!
the idea about the windsurf/kitesurf harness I've explored already and with a bit more tweaking would be a good angle to add too the arsenal
I've got a harness that I've mucked around with but it turned out to be a bit unsafe....well the way i did it ....it sure was....and i wanted the pole set further away from the subject matter so my fat arse doesn't look any bigger on screen than it already does
I've also slowly worked out (which wasn't rocket science people) that i keep getting heavily smashed with the thing and it rotates your body in horrific ways
hence you need a strong, rigid and a safely secured backing piece that is not going to fail and send that pole straight thru your head or straight up where the old sun don't shine
the picture I'm painting you "is not a good look"
the backing piece is the key to try and keep the pole and the camera stable so you can capture those nice looking moments
it has seriously put me thru some really intense poundings at times.....
weren't real much fun.....i give you the tip.........
(que the violin solo and break open a box of tissues)
i have a vid (that I've got to upload soon) with my mate hippy filming me from land and the same wave filmed on the go pro. you get to see how much the pole swings around like crazy thru my turns and how nice it still looks off the gopro camera
personally im enjoying just being able to checkout my foot work and also my LACK of footwork
I'm learning a lot from it
the biggest problem: is taking the thing on and off to clean the lens and re-angle the camera......i have a lot of great waves filmed that have dried salt crystals on the lens or the camera is facing off towards pluto instead of at my fat butt
on a brighter note: the other day i got to take a look inside harley ingleby's garage
and suss out his quiver of boards and the little contraptions he is working with....man that guy has some great waves on vid
so after all that my mind has been spinning out about new angles to try
oooppppsssss!!!!!!! i just got wood... sorry guys and gals
time for bed
