It is a worry that erosion.Down here in sydney both at Cronulla and the strip between Collory and Narrabeen are suffering the same problem'o.And at this very moment they're selling sand at Greenhills. There should be a law against selling land that will disintergreat due to natural causes.I feel sorry for the people that save up all their hard earned cash to buy what they're told is a good investment only to have nature knocking on their back door every time a good low pressure system makes an appearance.
If I get a chance soon, I'll post some vid of the devastation here in Bundaberg. 15 helicopters, many Hercs in and out evacuating patients, Globemasters delivering fuel, blackhawks and hundreds of support people, it's been crazy.
Thanks Rob.. That was amazing... We had foam up be beach like that one year at Merimbula for the Mambo.. .. Hope your camera's survived all that sand blasting.
Yeah regretting not putting the camera in my surf housing DJ .We were lucky only copped a Cat 1 storm would hate to see a Cat 5 storm. Bundy copped the full brunt.
Once when I (and mate Steve) was on the Neil Pryde team we had special 3.0 sails made for us and one day at the RipCurl classic we got 50+ knots .. Steve and I were the only ones sailing and the international team guys didn't have small enough sails..
both are great vids, a good indication of the intensity of the long days of the storm, apart from all the havoc and losses brought ..... pretty amazing to experience nature at its wildest...
