Got some great waves today down the peninsula this morning. Shared them with a mate Matt (long time Seabreeze reader, but still in the closet). I'm trying to coax him out with this thread. It was a fun 2ft with another paddler and a couple surfers. I think everyone had fun. I love the surfs that turn out good when the forecast is a bit scetchy!
Anyone else get some good waves today?

Hit sandringham beach at 1pm for a little fitness paddle before the port phillip cup. Didn't realise that the wind had picked up and caught some very, very small little runners around the rock groynes at Royal Ave. Waves were just rideable with the longest ride being all of 50 meters. But the sun was out and the water was warm, and it was a nice little suprise to get some waves.

I was out at Sandringham last night from 7.30 to 9.00. Had my best waves yet on the bay.
I parked in Edward St just off Beach Rd and carried my board down the long ramp.
It saves having to paddle back up wind to Half Moon, which means you can expend more energy
catching waves. The waves straight off Edward St ramp were quite clean if you waited for a big set.
I'll hopefully be back out tonight, the winds already 20 knots and meant to increase to 20 to 30 so
there should be some good swell later.
It's great watching the sun set as you paddle around.
Alan.
