had a 5 week lay off so I gave back the naish maliko 26 as the demo board that it was going to be.

had a few paddles coming back sessions but today I took over ownership a board I have been waiting for. a quick late paddle to the ck mouth, surf and back

the maliko 24".

im in love again. such fast well rounded all round board. for me its got every design detail I like all in one board.

concaves, edges, broad nose, fullish rails. just the right amount of recess, stability to paddle hard and get rewarded

ps a note its worth moving the fin around. the 26 I like right up the front. the 24 felt better back a bit

Need some good southerly winds back. Keen to read what you think about the 24 comparring it to the 26.

What is the last piece of the puzzle to join those three weapons above?

12.6 x 24 one.

well the 24 is less stable then the 26' as one would expect.

I cant tell you a lot yet andy because im not fit after my lay off or up to speed on my paddling.

im not feeling it yet

24 "doesnt feel like it would support a bigger guy

I'm curious - what was the difference? More stable with the fin forward? I have the 26" Jav and I would like it to feel a bit more stable. I will experiment the next chance I get.

No. I wanted it to be a bit looser for dw ing and wash riding. Lost a little bit of stability. But for me the 26 is like table top.

ok. if it makes you feel better there are plenty of boards that are just to hard for me

I am happy with the board, and thanks to the "secondary stability" (i.e. it starts to tip easily but does not roll any further unless you really lose your balance) I don't fall off unless my legs are pretty tired (or I lose concentration, or I am catching a wave in the surf and it insists on going sideways), but I have not taken it on a downwinder yet. I may be doing a bit of swimming...

Update. Decided to keep the 26 too. It was just to heart breaking not to have it.

Going to do the ppeter trick and use them according too conditions.

Got a mad side boat wake on the 24 this afternoon. No paddling. Had to keep turning away from the boat
