I'd like to do a quick survey...

For those of you who use "ergonomic" paddle handles, which way around do you have the handle:

Option A - The bulge in your palm...

Option B - You fingers around the bulge...

Thanks.

Casso, option A for sure. I believe they are designed so that you can push on the handle with the palm of your hand, without always having to grip it tightly. It justs feels more natural.

I agree with John...The curve in your palm and the flat across your fingers. (Option A - The bulge in your palm.)

I have three types of paddle handles..The ergo Naish, the soft Quick Blade T grip and thin T grip on the Kialoa.

I have heard that someone liked the ergo type in reverse..I tried it and didn't like it.

Why do you ask Casso..How do you have it?...I can imagine using the ergo type backwards would give a bit more twisting control over the blade.

I actually use Option B - what a weirdo, hey?

I find that the ball on my palm (the base of my thumb) sits nicely in the concave bit of the handle and my fingers wrap snugly around the bulge of the handle. Seems to fit perfectly in my hand that way, and your right DJ ... I seem to have more control over twisting of the blade.

I thought I used it the natural way until I used the paddles of two separate friends (who both used it opposite to me) and then I thought - oh oh, maybe I'm the odd one out. Never mind, it's comfortable to me using it "in reverse".

That's cool.

I used to love that ergo shape T grip but after using a normal T grip it's hard to go back.

It feels too rounded and the blade wants to twist the handle in my hand.

The normal T grips defiantly offers much more blade controle..but I guess it's just what you get used to.

It will be interesting to see which way Naish go with their new paddles.

It's a bit hard to see in these pics.

JB would know.
