I was over at Hayden this arvo picking up a board that was getting repaired. The team over there do a fantastic job. While I was there they showed me their new design for their first SUP. For those who don't know Hayden Surf Craft they have been deigning boards since 1959.

Alex Baxter is shaping this board. I may not remember all he said but here goes. 10' long by 29" wide by around 4" high. Plenty of rocker and the rails are 60/40 with a round tail. It look great at the stage that it is at and will be more of a performance board. It will have the option of quad or tri fin setup.

I have asked Alex to post is images as he goes onto this forum. It should be ready for a test in about 3 weeks.

It is good to see that major shaping places see a great future for this sport and are supporting it with R and D.

I will put up some images when I have some.
Cheers

I'd love to see what they would come up with if they made a downwinder as well.

I mentioned the down winders to them and with their great experience with race skis they could make something special.
Check out Woogies down winder.

Yeah I've seen it, from a distance, and like it.
But it would be interesting to see what angle they came at it from, with their years of ski development.
