It's Melbourne's turn to have a visit form JB.

He'll be here this Saturday (19th of July) and is doing a demo day at Sandringham beach..Just down from SHQ at the cafe.

Here's a link.. ( www.shq.com.au/shq3/newsandevents/asp_news_and_events_item_detail.asp?newsAndEventsId=283 )

I'll be there..and I'm looking forward to demo'ing the new Naish 11'4".. ..the new Mistral Pacifico surf would be good to test..even if it is flat water.

Fingers crossed for weather like we had today..

See you there...Here's a pic of JB doing his thing on the new Naish 9'6"..

I'd love to paddle up from Green Point. I've been living around Port Phillip Bay since I was 6. I have no idea where Green Point is....

Why dont you just chop 2" off your 11'6?
You could take photos from every possible angle and include a detailed story of you doing it

Yes the rumours are true, I am heading round the bottom corner of oz to come visit. I have been very slack in organising my trip, mainly due to being very busy, but I am coming. I am in Adelaide right now (after a very long drive), and will be leaving here sometime on thursday to head across.

I will also be paddling somewhere on Sunday, I have not confirmed where yet, but i will let you all know later today/tonight.

Unfortunately the weather here is not looking all that good for a paddle, and the locals tell me that you need to wear booties, gloves and a hood because of the water temp. ouch!! However all the boards will available for veiwing tonight during tonights seminar. Check in with Onboard for any further info on tonight. I hope to see you all there.

Pray for good weather,

Speak soon,

JB

It's on tomorrow (Saturday) ...and the weather's not looking too bad.

I'll take some pics for those who missed out or can't make it.

Does anyone have any questions for JB?...(I can ask him for you)

Also...The gate will be open and you can park on the grass for free.

If it rains or the weather turns crappy we can go inside and check out the boards under cover..There's heaps of room....and the food's good..

Hey DJ ask JB where dose he put all the beer when the van is that full and also next Thursday, Friday and maybe saturday up on the Goldy will be insane with a big low excepted to form and we'll get solid 6 to 8 feet paddle surfing in the morning then some 35 knot winds in the arvo, sound like good testing weather.

Thursday
Short range ESE swell 3 – 5ft increasing to 5 – 6ft Gold Coast open beaches, crossing over with S swell 3 – 5ft across the far north coast of NSW. ESE winds 15 – 25 knots strengthening to 25 – 35 knots in the afternoon.

Longer Range
By Wednesday next there are strong indications we’ll see an East Coast Low developing along the Queensland coast in the wake of an upper level trough moving westward across the state on Tuesday.

Recent model runs remain high optimistic regarding this scenario, with a couple of independent key long range models consistently capturing the development of the surface low later next week.

The evolution of this system is likely to be gradual, with a deepening trough moving slowly offshore on Wednesday night before intensifying across the Coral Sea on Thursday.

The developing surface low will form a tight pressure gradient against a broad ridge extending across the Tasman, driving a steep increase in easterly swell impacting south-eastern Queensland and northern NSW from Thursday onwards.

Initially this is likely to be severely wind affected, with strong to gale force east to south-easterly winds extending across the region throughout Thursday and Friday, gradually easing from Saturday onwards as the low begins to drift further offshore.
