My SUP buddy Cam B announced today that he is a grizzly bear stand up paddler... that's to say, his board is going into hibernation until the weather warms up again in Spring. Given that this is my first winter since discovering SUP, I have to ask, how do we isolate and stigmatise such softness? I'm thinking total social annihilation.

I'd just commissioned him to do a painting so I was relatively confident that he wasn't going to kill me. Though you can see the size of that hand would easily wrap around my neck.

I bought tickets early to see Chopper at The Enmore, and ended up with front row. I bought 4 tickets, and struggled to find 3 mates willing to sit in the front row with me !!!

It was a funny & weird night. Great stories told... Everyone who came along enjoyed it...

He was still painting around this time last year. He hasn't been well at all but I think he's still at it. Don't know about any new exhibitions but you should check out ebay as that is the outlet that he sells through. The pawn shop in the photo is run by a colourful character named Frank, who conducts the Ebay auctions for Chopper. You can commission specific paintings through Frank. You can also see some of the paintings in the shop. It is located in Johnson St Collingwood. If you're able to get to the shop to pick up a painting, Frank makes every effort to arrange a meeting with Chopper.
