I've paddled it. Just found out today that it was your board. It is a bit noisy !! But a pretty good board none the less.

We had a little "2.5km distance river sprint" today with the howling onshore. Kristi had a tiny head start. It was particularly funny seeing her jam the paddle into the mud/sand bottom... Paddle stayed behind, board and Kristi kept going !

Little experience in this area but my 2 cents.

Applies to flat water only I have not paddled the vortice in the ocean

Hollow core lighter to carry get on off cars (Major bonus IMO) and gets off the line faster as less weight to get moving. Definitely has a bit of flex but I am no light weight either. Easier for smaller people to handle carry bigger boards, beach starts etc.

Solid core boards have more weight and more momentum and appear in the flat to maintain more glide once you have stoppped paddling. This momentum in the ocean could be the difference between hooking up the next runner or not? Dont know for sure havent done it! Me thinks like my old heavy nose rider weight has it application for sure.

I believe they both have thier place in differing conditions with differing weight and strength engines.
