A friend and I are planning on heading over to Auckland for the Hope paddle on the 1st of November. The event is for teams of 4 and I am curious to know if there is any paddlers from over that way needing two more paddlers or if there are any keen Aussie paddlers interested in a weekend in NZ with a fun paddle that raises money for a great cause. Flights at the moment are less than 350 return from sydney.

Here is the link to their page. It doesn't have the dates for this year but they have emailed me and confirmed it will be on the 1st of november.
The organisers also said it was really easy to hire a board for the day and it would be delivered to the start line for us. Only one board is needed as its a relay race.
It is an event that raises money for breast cancer research. My friend is planning on organising a similar event in sydney next australia day so we are heading over to check out what they do to make their day such a success and to have a weekend in NZ:)
We would happily take another 2 paddlers with us if anyone is interested.
I am thinking it looks like fun and is for a great cause.
