Tendenitis is one elbow, knees not what they use to be, nothing too major!

Replacement left hip and need both shoulders worked on.

Left hip gone, lower back gone, right shoulder dodgy, both ankles just hanging in there, upper back and neck won't cope with prone paddling.

Both knees had acl ruptures . Left in 91 no repair done the right in 2016 with surgical repair in sept 2016 . Usual neck and back degenerative conditions. Its not what you cant do its what you can do .

Snow Skiing Accident resulting in a Broken Back Burst L1 Fracture Spinal Injury causing partial paraplegic, now mostly recovered but have 5 fused vertebrae with titanium rods, so found it hard to prone surf (popping up), SUPing is better.

Big wipe out led to concussion, stroke, heart attack followed by open heart surgery. Still surf bit but nothing big or rough.Limited to flat water most of the time.

Tendonitis in both elbows.
Dodgey lower back.
Knees that not great due years of competitive basketball.

Constantly in pain. Mainly elbows and fingers and chronic neck pain . But at age 46 if I wait for the pain to go I will never SUP. I just manage around them .
In terms of back pain....gone . As soon as I started to SUP my chronic back pain left the building

30 plus years outside physical work, anything that was meant to hinge doesn't and hurts.
Chronic lower back troubles in my 20's, have got better with age and stopping skiff sailing.
Doing push ups and sit ups daily last year or more has strengthened shoulders and back, less pain / injuries.

This is really helpful, I started supping to ward off back pain. Starting yoga too. Im a bit torn over wear and tear on the joints, does everyone think stretching is beneficial to joint health or tighter muscles help protect joints from injury.
