The Naish alloy paddle is a great middle of the road paddle...IMO
The only problem is that they are a bit short for us tall guys that paddle a lot on flat water.
I believe that a good measure of correct paddle length is to turn the paddle upside down..Place the T grip on the ground..and where the blade comes out from the shaft should be about eye level.
This pic shows my old home made paddle at the length that I like...Then the Naish carbon and Naish alloy.
I don't mind my carbon paddle being a little short..but the alloy paddle is just way too short for me.
Here's what I did with mine...First I cut the original T grip off.
Next I made a new top with a plastic T grip and one size larger alloy tube.
It's a bit hard to see in this pic but I used a windsurfer boom spring pin.
Job done...Adgustable paddle for short arse hobbits..to lanky bean poles..

Just what I need for teaching friends how to SUP.
