Took the re-gripped 9'6" Naish out yesterday at dawn, calm wind 2 foot waves. Did buy a helmet last week for big stuff but surely too mellow to bother with.....had a great time, lots of waves then coming in at the end of the session just fell in the white water and somehow copped the new Simon Andersons on the scone. Eight stitches on the top of my head and three on my forehead (gotta love the quadies) - my first thought as the blood ran down my face " $&!##, I've done an Oliver!" Fortunately the misses is a doc and despite the local anaesthetic being three years out of date I was back at the beach that afternoon!

More thrills spills and doctors bills.

Sorry to hear that Johnathan. Yours sounds worse than mine, I just got the one fin cut with a 7 cm gash and 7 stitches. I really should invest in a helmet before I go out again.

i thought this was going to be a story about how you knocked up a pucker meal, with the most expensive ingrediants in the world, going extra heavy on the virgin olive oil, whille dropping comments, such as "get in there my son", "loverly jubberly" and " tomatoes and basil, best mates" in a pretencious wanky fake cockney accent.
