I know this OC...the Inland Outriggers are an OC club, as the sign says, in Echuca (I think, part of the Echuca Moama Canoe Club) who quite happily paddle OC's on the Murray and anywhere else they can.
They've passed me in the Murray Marathon...quite unnerving being in a little kayak to see an OC6 bearing down on you
. A friend once got clobbered on the head by the aka when one didn't turn in time and went straight over him

People paddle surf skis on the Murray so why not an outrigger canoe (although more fun in the bay).
Just as unusual being in a kayak race on the Yarra and seeing a SUP in amongst the sit-down paddlers!
