That was Bonga Perkins bailing. Ikaika was the one that made the wave. It was really windy that day at Sunset Beach and very hard to get in... Ikaika was riding a 9-2 small wave board with a small wave fin set up. I was surprised he could catch any waves that day!
Awesome footage pulling in backside, styling and dodging a crowd like that, gutsy great surfing right there, I dont care what board he was on thats surfing at its best, whether he was on a 6 8" shortboard or a 9 2" sub. Love his kick out back side exits, looks like he near lost his paddle once.
