Looks like I'm not the only one that likes to take my SUP board down the river.

BTW..I heard that Laird Hamilton SUP'ed the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon..(rapids and all)..

Here's a pic of my 13 yr old daughter SUP'ing on the Yarra river here in Melbourne..Check out that technique....she takes after her Dad..

Also..Found this Youtube vid showing SUP'ing on the Kahana river in Hawaii.

Anyone else done any river SUP'ing?

DJ, your daughter does look pretty cool. Did you buy this board for her?
I haven't SUPed on the river yet, but I have canoed and kayaked heaps on the Yarra for years now.
We should join up for a river paddle one day.

Tuesday night paddle around crown casino could be fun? Conditions look good, need to find a good place to meet with access to the river - any ideas DJ JD?

Hey Oliver,
The rowing sheds next to Princes Bridge is a good place to put in. Car parking could be a problem, depending on the time.
Alternative is Docklands, park car at the bottom of Bourke St extension (past multi-coloured NAB building) at Victoria Harbour. Put in at public marina access, just step off the pontoon. Then paddle around Docklands, and up the Yarra to the city area. I think this would be the better option.
