I have been resisting this sport for a couple of years and finally have given it a go. Borrowed a Naish Mana 10 and headed straight for the surf.

I love it! I love the atmosphere in the waves. My wave count has doubled compared to surfing.

Coming from the kiting fraternity I've noticed that no-one is narky and bagging each other on this forum. I just watched the Tassy video and while it's not that great, I felt excited for the guy filming it.

Welcome to SUP forum Dave. And more importantly welcome to SUP!

"What took you so long"?

You've got a great SUP wave out off the rivermouth near Kings, I've had some nice waves there with Luke a few years back.

Hope to share a wave someday soon.

Got a little bored on the 10' Mana. Bit floaty and not as easy to turn as my usual surfboard. Maybe it's cos I'm 80kg and the Mana is 210 lt?

So today I switched to a 9'3 Hokua. It's feels half the weight!!

Let's see if I can stand on it......all we need is some swell. Sunshine Coast is like a lake at the moment.
