Hey Guys,

I thought I would try this the otherway around, sellers come to me ( bit cheeky but thought this would eliminate alot to-ing and fro-ing)

Got the go ahead to buy myself a SUP but with conditions, the price (less than a K
).

Now I am looking for a used SUB, around 9'6 and for the waves and not entry level so I reckon around 32" wide I suppose. Must be able to handle Perths crap surf.

I am 90kg but hopefully loose some weight due to subbing.

Don't mind if it requires minor repairs but no structural damage.

If the price is right willing to pay for transport to Perth.

PM me if you want sell, or if you think I am daft for what I am asking.

Cheers
Rich

RIch, I like the concept of asking for a board. I am seeking a PSH 10'11 XXW ripper
as new they are nuts in price. But alas no second hand out there.

New buy and sell categorie needed Boards wanted....

Mate I really don't give a rats about selling it but I would not discard a 10 or 10.6 at your weight.

I have a 2 year old Laguna Bay 10'4 that I would reluctantly part with to a good home for 950.
The boys in QLD will give Tully's design the thumbs up I'm sure.
It has an OMG cover and has been sitting on my rack for 4 months as I ponder whether to keep it as a back up or not.
It has a couple of repairs but surfs and paddles real well.I'm 6'3 and a 0.1 ton member.
It's not a beginners board though.

I am sure that retailers in WA are more than willing to do some good deals on sups at the moment. I suggest you arm yourself with a pocket full of cash and go for a drive and try out some boards and when you find something you like - make an offer with some of that cash in your hand

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the reponse, I was dreading that it would backfire on me.

I am looking at a couple of options and will have to look into transport costs but I am really grateful for the replies.

I am currently away doing night shift in Karatha (thats how the missus aloud me to look into getting a SUB, shift work is not my normal job) but once I am back in town I will start following up.

Buy my McTavish 2010 9'6" x 29'.5'. (150 litres) and $ 1450.00 as a new run out model. Will organise shipping if you pay. $800.00 all up includes a fibreglass GSI paddle normally $350.00, Balin Legrope ( a bit stretched though, but does the job, paddle cover, a setof FCS quads (one dodgy one that needs fixing) and a brand new 9'.5" Fluid something or other middle fin ($100.00). The board has been used and is great for flat water paddling and is great in the surf if you know what your'e doing. It's a cheap starter option. Everytihing has a few chips out of it but there is no structural damage. I'm selling as the wife until three weeks ago has decided I am no longer part of the program. Check the Buy and sell if you want photos. Cheers Leroy

Hey Ronny,

I may have to take you up on that, I will get hold of you once I am back in Perth around the 5/6 July.

To everyone else, any recommendations:

Starboard 9'0 x 33" (I think it may be a Hero)
PSH Wide Ripper 9'6 x 29"3/4
Starboard 9'8 x 30"

Let me try and exhaust my WA options before heading of east, even though it seems over east has more options and better deals.

Cheers

Had a look at the below boards

Starboard 9'0 x 33" Hero
PSH Wide Ripper 9'6 x 29"3/4
Starboard 9'8 x 30"

The wood Hero is virtually new with rail damage from handling.
The 9'8 Starboard is in very good condition but could be pre-2010.
The PSH I like the shape the most but the condition is not that great with a largish pressure ding on the bottom and filled chunks on the rail.

For the surf and the little lady, what would you guys recommend.
I would rather battle a bit a progress than start out on a beginner board.

Any recommendations?

You answered your own question - the 9' ft Hero. In good nick, plenty of volume, short enough to throw around and virtually bulletproof. I'm riding a 10.'2" PSH Paddler that is 33' wide and having no problems putting it where I want, now that I've got used to it. I weigh 98 kg though and am 185 cm. Go the Hero!!!
