Hi , I just bought a inflatable paddle board a few weeks ago , and I am finding it really hard going (nearly impossible) to get it pumped up to 15 psi .I saw these adaptors on ebay (link below ) that allow you to use a 12v compressor to pump it up . im going to buy one , I was just wondering if anyone else had first and what they thought , cheers

Looks like a great idea.

Warning.. Might not be a good idea to use the modern petrol station air compressor with it.

Hmm I spotted those on e(vil)Bay too and thinking of getting one. More important is the choice of compressor...a lot of those 'handy' 12v ones out there are built to do the volume of a car tyre, not the volume of a SUP, so I'd be wary of buying too cheap & light-duty only to have it burn out halfway through your SUP.

You could treat your SUP pumping as cross-training (I get my 12'6 up to 14-15psi in 3-4 mins, another 4-5 mins to get it up over 20 with the standard pump but it's a workout...high pressure hand pump is slower but a but easier)

Edit: what brand of SUP/pump do you have? Not all pumps are the same...the one that came with our RED Air is very good, the one that came with our Hobie is a POS.

I bought one and they don't fit a Naish inflatable, they do fit starboard and other models.

I managed to swap it for a hose and pressure gauge at my local SUP store so that I can adapt a car valve to it and still be able to see the inflation pressure..

I have an high end $$$ ARB compressor fitted to my 4 x 4 so pumping it shouldn't be a problem it will just take a while.

As for being faster .... I think it will be on par with the hand pump, which is probably a good thing, less risk of over inflation.

Ill let you in on the details when I manage to fit the car valve.

These work great with a high pressure bike floor pump and are a must have for anyone with an inflatable. Pump your board up with the plastic pump to an easy 10+ lbs, then switchover to the bike pump for the rest.

Hi all , they do fit naish and others now as they also do a longer red one now aswell, you just have to measure your board valve and match it to the ones in the pictures . I bought a good quality 12v high pressure pump and it works perfectly !
