I'm talking about the famous Hawaiian Iron Man Triathlon.
This is the first time the Iron Man has come to Melbourne and when they anounced the event and opened the registation for the 2000 entrys they sold all of them out in just 4 minutes.. Wow!.. and at a cost of $800 each.
Nick King from Sunny King SUP is one of the sponsors of the event and Nick asked if I could help out with leading the 2000 swimmers around the swim course and I though if I don't make it down to Inverloch for our surf w/e I will be there.
I had my high mount camera fitted on my 12'6" Glide and pointed it back towards the swimmers.. I got some vid and took some pictures.. It was great and I'm glad I didn't fall off in front of them..
