Only people who want no feedback use the gear review section no one uses it. Heaps of posts in General are gear reviews no point splitting the forum IMO. Emailed Laurie he made no changes. What do you reckon?

Ive used it before, i guess it doesnt really hurt having it, and its easier to find something if you are thinking of buying , you know where to start looking. just my 2 cents .

IMO Yes!!

It's been going not even a month, give it a chance. The question was put to the masses, Laurie mad a decision on the replies.

How easy is it to go to the reviews and look for what you want rather than filter through all DJ's posts (which I do enjoy BTW, especially the tours. Picture says a thousand words keep em coming DJ)

Thanks SammyJ...

I think I'd rather one section but I can see the sense in having a gear review section.

Looking for something on paddles, boards or even leashes can be hard to find looking through all the old posts.

I think JB just posted without thinking about using the new section...besides it's sometimes best to post in the main section and later be moved across.

Ben the point would be to remove it as half the posts in general section are gear reviews especially naish.
DJ put it in general then move it wtf? Do not see the point.
As I said to laurie I prefer kiteforum style with all in one section.
Sorry if offering an opinion on a forum is upsetting people.
The survey to start it had 5 posts.
Cheers Andrew

I don't think anyone is getting upset...and don't worry about Jake (Ben dover)..He's just stiring and not to be taken too seriously..

I wonder if there is more to it (having different sections)...I wonder if it helps with loading time or web space usage..or something like that ?..It's just a thought.

Yer Hilly DJ sum me up well i was just stirring u up.

Personally i don't really care if there is a seperate section

But it would be easier for newcomers to decide on a wat equipment to get if the can look at the review section as u said.

Very interesting!

There will always be different viewpoints on how things should be, thats what makes forums interesting. Discussion, different ideas & opinions.

It's your forum, and each persons view is equally valid.

Seabreeze.com.au never has & never will be "static", it will always be evolving & changing based on hearing and responding to your needs & wants.

Enjoy .. Lozza

I was in favour of splitting the reviews so that we could keep them together, but I can see it is not working very well. How about posting a reference to the review in the main forum when you post a new review? This would keep all the reviews together while ensuring nobody misses the new reviews.

Has anyone any thoughts on the best way to keep the reviews. Would you rather see a single thread per board or a new thread for each review?

I honestly just forget that it's there, I never read it, so I guess thats why I post on the general forum, I do the same mistake a lot with the Kiteboarding forum also. Although at the moment it probably doesn't make any difference, you will find in the next few months as SUP really takes off the general forum will get pretty crazy, and a gear review section will probably be quite good. I will try to remember to write in the appropriate sections, sorry Loz!

JB
