I was breezing with Kingdom (from Cape Town) on another topic and I thought about that epic pic in the Standup Journal Vol 16 #3 of Chris Bertish at Dungeons last year.

This is the biggest wave I have seen of anyone on a SUP. If anyone has seen a bigger one please let me know. I hear that a few of the "Saffa" locals are having a go at SUPping Dungeons so its going to be awesome to see how far we can push things.

Man, that is a monster!! I lived in Cape Town for 10 months and the water is absolutely freezing (8 degrees in Summer) add that to the mix along with White Pointers and the gruntiest swells imaginable. Those guys are nuts!!

I found the one of Haley Fiske at Mavs and unless there is another pic the one of Chris Bertish is definately bigger.

The "Saffa" big wave boys have really taken to SUPing and between Dungeons and Sunset Reef in Cape Town, the locals have been pushing the boundaries of late.
Guys like the Bertish brothers, Ivan van Vuuren and Jason Ribbink are always looking to take SUPing a bit further which is great for the growth of the sport in South Africa.

Fiske or Bertish - You have to have some serious minerals to paddle into either of those waves
