That's not a paddle in the background, it's a cricket just in case any Kiwis are reading this post

Nice....Congrats on the new board.

What paddle are you using.

Thanks.

A cheap aluminium and plastic job that was sent with the board seems to be based more on a canoe paddle rather than the ones I see on here and in mags. It may have to suffice until I have sufficient disposable for a decent paddle.

Will try to get to a local lake thurs or fri and take a 6m rig in case there's a breeze.

I keep watching the vids on here and it does provide inspiration.

That cheap alloy/plastic paddle will be fine for now.

One day down the track you will buy a nice new carbon paddle then realize how much better they are and wish you had done it sooner..

Kialoa, Werner and C4 are the ones to look at (imo)...Maybe keep an eye on ebay for a bargan..

Cheers DJ, words of wisdom.
Happily exchange one wife - bodywork sound, mind requires attention and two small slaves (pre teenage years so still compliant) for a nice carbon paddle - will even pay for their flights

Will put it on the Christmas pressie list.

gotta be evenings for me at the moment Ian.
We are going to our industry exhibition next week and we are so far behind it's frightening.

Think Friday evening is looking favourite at the moment - how's that for you?

Hi Ian,
after next weeks chaos I will have more time so let's try and fix something up one evening after that - may even bring a BBQ up and make a party of it.
May be worth an round robin invite to landlocked paddlers in the area - may even invent a new craze - flashmobpaddling!
Cheers, Paul
